Who’s spent the most on Super Bowl ads?

In 20 years, Anheuser-Busch has spent $230.5 million on advertising during the Super Bowl, according to a study by TNS Media Intelligence. Anheuser-Busch is followed by Pepsi, which spent $180 million in 19 Super Bowls, General Motors with $55 million in 14 games, Time Warner with $53.4 million in 10 games, and FedEx with $38.9 million in 18 Super Bowls.

The study also found that about one-quarter of ad time during the Super Bowl is used to promote programming for the network airing the game. In last year’s game, when 30-second spots sold for $2.4 million, Fox scored ad time worth more than $46 million. Fox also took in about $159 million in ad revenue in just one night. This year, ABC scored an average $2.5 million for about 60 30-second spots during Super Bowl XL.

And does XL stand for Extra Large?? I'm just here to ask the questions...
